On April 15th, 2008 we received the following information:

Mujaahid now operates under the name Dave West, (MDW or M.D. West). He is still conning companies (rather than individuals) by pretending to be a Senior Executive. His ill temper and abrupt behaviour still exists and affects the people who work around him. Unfortunately, no one seems to know what kind of a man he is and unfortunately he hasn't had enough of messing around with people's lives.

He claims to have worked as a lecturer at a US University and its rumoured that he plans to return to teaching soon (poor students!). Please steer clear of this terrible man, he is bad news to anyone who goes near him. His appearance hasn't changed much from the photo published. So look out!

If, in the past, you have invested money in land or realestate as part of your IRA pension plan though Mr. Waathiq (or through KEOPS, Inc.) you may want to pay close attention to the following. If Mr. Waathiq and/or KEOPS, Inc. had been managing the investment placed under PENSCO San Francisco or PENSCO Portsmouth the chances are that your investment has vanished and that any distribution of funds and/or land and/or realestate that is due in 2004 will not materialize. You may also find that your account with PENSCO will be reduced to pocket-change or a handful of pennies. Disclaimer: PENSCO offers a comprehensive list of IRA permitted investments such as: real estate, private stock, partnerships, notes, annuities, deeds of trust along with common stock, mutual funds, CDs and many more. Please note that PENSCO is not the party undertaking the fraudulent activities described on this page. We received word through our grapevine that they are also a victim of Mr. Waathiq's so-called business activities.

A weblog carrying an entry with the abovementioned subject has raised a valid issue regarding the attempt of Mr. Waathiq and his attorney to send a cease and desist order to google.com regarding copyright infringments as described per DMCA. We ask ourselves whether this attorney of Kronenberger & Associates will be paid by Mr. Waathiq or whether Mr. Kronenberger will end up on the list of creditors like many other attorneys who were not paid by Mr. Waathiq for their past services. It is interesting to note that Mr. Kronenberger is also a member of the management team at WebTops Inc. Be sure to read the full story on this baseless DMCA claim on this page here. December 2005: We have been contacted by Mr. Azzam Abdo and Mr. Ayman Aniss of WebTops who both informed us that Mr. Waathiq has not worked for them in the past 9 months and had been fired a long time ago. Mr. Abdo also states that WebTops no longer has any relation to Mr. Waathiq. You can read more on this page. We do have reservations about the fact that WebTops paid for Mr. Waathiq's legal assistance in the idle hope that this website would remove itself from the internet.

Since April 2004 Mr. Waathiq has been 'working' as Executive Vice President of a company called WebTops. We hope that this company, WebTops, will not become another victim of Mr. Waathiq's activities nor do we hope that Webtops share the same activities of Mr. Waathiq. Notice how the bio used on that page at WebTops differs slightly from the one used previously and the one Mr. David Waathiq (aka Dave West) had used for Advanced Technology Publishing. Read more about it here. You will notice that the WebTops website no longer exists. Just like all the other operations that Mr. David Waathiq has been involved in, they simply never last and his scam operations centering around the Middle East in 2004 have not yielded what he had hoped for (more about that in upcoming reports). Instead, Mr. Waathiq has taken up his Your Community News site again and is showing a new deception trick of misrepresentation.

The location of David's Woodside "office" (click for photos) at 2995 Woodside Road, suite 400 in Woodside, California (click for map) is really a P.O. Box. Compare the info on the business cards above with this address. David has represented this address on many occasions as a real office to both clients and contractors as well as investors he has tried to con out of their money. Neither Mr. Waathiq or any of his entities possess a business license to operate in Woodside. Mr. Waathiq is breaking a federal law as you can read here.

A more recent spinoff on the activities of Advanced Technology Publishing reveals www.yourcommunitynews.com which according to the current image on the site will be coming in March 2004 and promises a "news forum and events calendar chronicling the contributions, critical thought, and accomplishments of African-Americans in Science, Medicine, Technology, Politics, and Business". Needless to say the Watch-Team wonders whether this nebulous "publication" will find itself in the same category as the scams of www.modernlearning.net, www.modernsurgeon.com, www.modernbiotechnology.com, and www.modernfarming.net Mr. Waathiq has not even taken the precaution to change the information phone number and is reusing the 1.800.431.0358 one again. Once again we need to urge potential investors and contractors to be extremely careful when doing business with any business that involves Mr. M. David Waathiq.

Mr. Waathiq is known to make many fraudulent attempts in order to get you to allow him to manage your finances, financial resources, assets, or pension plan and fund. Please do NOT EVER allow him to do that regardless of his smooth talk and promises. It wouldn't be the first time that he will forge signatures and paperwork in order to dig deeply into your money and take as much out of it as he can. He will then give you a lot of stories and more smooth talk that everything will be fine while in fact he only does that so that you might not be able to get him to face criminal charges filed by a district attorney. Please NEVER sign any paperwork with this man, NEVER give him your credit card details, NEVER allow him to know much about you and NEVER give him your SSN (social security number). We have received confirmation that Mr. Waathiq is, once again, attempting to find victims for his scams by contacting small businesses and freelancers on Craigslist. He is also, once again, lurking around with fraudulent paperwork and being a big talker of grandeur. Mr. Waathiq is trying to get people to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA) containing ridiculous expectations and without any reciprocity or protection for those who would be fooled into signing them. As we already reported before March 2004 there is another operation by Mr. David Waathiq which had presented itself. This time Mr. Waathiq show how he illegally uses a registered trademark designation. Read more about it here. Shortly after we commented on the illegal usage of the (R) registered trademark designation the site was changed to reflect the unregistered (tm) style. However, this time the site reads "launching in June 2005" instead of "May 2005". We wonder how long Mr. Waathiq can keep postponing this. Probably as long as it takes to trick people into helping him (for free, preferably) create another front-end for yet another typical scam.

Mr. Waathiq uses different aliases. This used on many occasions for official documents so that he can make it harder for people to track him down or pin his fraudulent activities on him. The most recent evidence of the alias M. David Wattiq is when he created a new and questionable Delaware corporation. This is no doubt done to avoid the linking of his identity to his reputation, history, and his creditors.

As of April 2003, Mr. Waathiq has started yet another alias using the same drop box and same 1-800-500-3284 number: Advanced Technology Publishing LLC. The company is not a registered LLC in the state of California either as a California corporation or as a foreign corporation registered to do business in the state.

Because Mr. Waathiq uses this post office box as his official business address he is required to register his business in California. As of July 21st 2003, one of Mr. Waathiq's associates has said that ATP is a registered LLC in California as of 6/13/2003, but that is not reflected in California's online corporate directory and no registration number was provided to cross check this. The company is registered in Delaware as can be seen here.

Mr. Waathiq, however, gladly will pass off the application form that he filled out as proof of registration (and here is another one). This entity is publishing multiple websites, like Modern Surgeon, Modern Biotechnology, Modern Farming and Modern Learning Technology. As of July 2003 this company and its publication websites no longer exist. They were hosted at www.slmr.net but probably didn't get paid. The site has recently resurfaced and is being hosted by MT in Los Angeles just like www.yourcommunitynews.com is.

ATP was to produce "online professional journals" a.k.a. websites. This type of business requires credibility in the professional communities targeted and David Waathiq (M. David West) as CEO has ZERO credibility once his background is known. Here is what he said about himself at ATP. We can expect to hear more from defrauded investors, contractors, and customers who lost time and money $$$ as David pocketed most of any money $$$ that passed through.

David will call this just another failed venture that has failed beyond his own control. But if he did not disclose his legal and financial status to all involved, they may be able to successfully argue in court that they have been defrauded. Of course, they can't collect any money. David has none in any bank or in any other assets. Any money from ATP will have been spent (misappropriated) or hidden and stashed away in a secure cash-only location.

David will just move on to some fresh victims after he lays low for a few months if he follows previous patterns. Here is a full list of people who Mr. Waathiq says are his partners and staff. People who resign might find their names will return because it suits Mr. Waathiq to hide behind the reputation of others.

As of May 2003, Mr. Waathiq is working with (please don't laugh too hard) Influencing with Integrity. This company sells books, videos and seminars about building trust and strengthening the rules of integrity in business and personal relationships. It is unlikely that they have done a background check (or are involved in David's day to day business of not paying those he hires).

He is using their email address: david@influence-integrity.com. Intelligence information shows that David is representing himself as vice president at that company. According to Mr. Waathiq, this company and its owner were directly involved as an investor and associate in his company called Advanced Technology Publishing LLC. Training people to influence others in the context of Mr. Waathiq sounds like it might even be a bigger scam than anything executed before. Judge for yourself whether this association is pure chance or a match made in heaven. Mr. Waathiq uses the address 235 Alma Street, Palo Alto, CA 94301 for Advanced Technology Publishing while this is the same address for Influence Integrity. Coincidence?

An update to vice president Waathiq Feb. 19, 2004 we were contacted by Ms. Genie Laborde of Influencing with Integrity who informed us that she resigned from ATP in Fall 2003 She also mentioned that Mr. Waathiq worked as a sales consultant on commission (we wonder if he reported his income to his trustee in order to pay off some of his many creditors) for her and that he acted in an exemplary manner to her firm. December 22nd 2003 Mr. Waathiq terminated the arrangement.

Please note that most of the material and information on Advanced Technology Publishing presented here on the site were documents tha were faxed and communicated using office equipment and resources of Ms. Laborde She also informed us that after Dec. 22nd 2003 Mr. Waathiq no longer had access to the office or equipment. As we had already reported, by that time the ATP scam had already failed and victims had already been made. Are you also considering hiring Mr. Waathiq? If you are, then you may want to reconsider and think again.

In our opinion, if you are web developer that is offered a job by Mr. Waathiq get ALL your money UP FRONT! Do not EVER give Mr. Waathiq any money for promotional, advertising or other up front fees.

Do NOT give him your credit card number, he has used a client credit card number to buy stuff for himself.
Do NOT give him any information with which he could steal your identity.
That also means do NOT ever give him your social security number.

ABSOLUTELY, DO NOT let him borrow money from you for any reason. Mr. Waathiq will first attempt to get contractors to work for a "piece of the action" in his schemes for no immediate return.

Payment will occur sometime in the future. If he gets away with that he gets free work done that he will never pay for and will continue in this mode until the contractor wakes up. If that doesn't work, he'll pay only the first few invoices and then work up a large debt to the contractor which he will never pay.

He may also offer a deal where a contractor will be paid a monthly draw, or a guaranteed minimum per month or week against actual expenses incurred. The contractor may get paid the first or second time, but after that they can expect to get stiffed as they work beyond the amount drawn and Mr. Waathiq's debt to them grows.
